Sealing Mechanism:
Sealing rope for pole is placed in the dovetail groove of the lower mold. When the upper mold closes, its protruding dovetail compresses the rope against the lower groove, forming a sealed contact. This prevents slurry leakage during centrifugation, ensuring:
Elimination of honeycombing defects in pile concrete
Prevention of product rejection due to leakage-induced voids
Why Sealing rope for pole is Essential?
During pipe pile production, concrete mixture is poured into the lower steel mold half. The upper mold half is then positioned, and the assembly undergoes high-speed centrifugal spinning.
Function of sealing rope for pole :
- Cotton rope primarily prevents slurry from leaking out of the mold.
- How to Use Sealing rope:
Prevent the mold opening, then close the mold, pressing the cotton rope between the upper and lower mold openings.
- Specifications:
Sealing rope comes in different thicknesses, with 13 and 17 strands.
Disadvantages of straw rope and advantages of Sealing rope for pole :
| Property | Straw Rope | Cotton Rope |
| Water Absorption | Low, prone to slurry leakage. | High, resistant to slurry leakage. |
| Thickness | Irregular thickness, prone to slurry leakage. | Uniform thickness, ensures effective sealing. |
| Tensile Strength | Low strength, easily breaks; operational hazards. | High toughness, breakage-resistant; ensures operational safety. |
| Storage | Requires large space; high freight/storage costs. | Space requirement: 50% of straw rope; low freight/storage costs. |
| Shelf Life | Dry but fire-prone; rots when damp; short shelf life. | Fire-resistant and rot-proof; long shelf life. |
| Actual Cost | High defect rate; material waste and low labor efficiency; high actual cost. | High labor efficiency; low actual cost. |
