Primary Function of Uniform diameter sealing rope:
To prevent slurry leakage during centrifugation of cement poles and block outward seepage of cement slurry.
Root Cause of Leakage:
Primarily attributed to suboptimal rope thickness. Prolonged mold usage leads to deformation, resulting in enlarged gaps.
Solution for Clients:
For clients experiencing leakage with previously used specifications, we can provide samples with increased diameter (e.g., +1-2mm) for effectiveness verification.
Uniform diameter sealing rope advantages:
- Uniform thickness, high tensile strength, and effective sealing.
Operational Note: Cotton ropes must be stretched taut at both ends over the mold joint during use. Straw ropes either snap when tightened or detach if loosely fitted. Workers often instinctively reposition detached straw ropes by hand – an action invisible to crane operators, leading to finger crush injuries. - Space-efficient and safe storage.
*Comparative Data: 500,000 meters of cotton rope occupies the same storage space as 250,000 meters of straw rope. Straw rope requires dry storage (fire hazard) yet rots in damp conditions. Cotton rope is fire-resistant, rot-proof, and maintains a 3-year shelf life.* - Lower actual cost than straw rope.
Cost Analysis: Straw rope incurs material waste, labor inefficiency, high defect rates, and rework time – all contributing to higher operational costs.
Causes of Slurry Leakage:
Severe Mold Deformation
Deformation under prestressed conditions: Repeated handling and hoisting inevitably cause cumulative distortion.
Inadequate Mold Joint Cleaning
Failure to remove residual slurry debris from joint surfaces and dovetail grooves after feeding.
Incomplete Mold Fastening
Missing/damaged closure bolts not replaced; insufficient bolt installation.
Suboptimal Seal Material Selection
Ideal seals require: soft texture, uniform diameter, high absorbency, moderate tensile strength, and minimal elasticity (excessive elasticity causes detachment and diameter reduction).
Improper Seal Rope Installation
Slack placement without tensioning
Inconsistent positioning (partially inside/outside joint)
Entrapment within pile body
Air pressure dislodgement during mold closure
Result: Not only fails to prevent leakage but exacerbates slurry loss.
